Women’s Golf Has Big Second Day, Takes 10th in Grand Canyon Invitational

• The Knights finished 10th in the 18 team field of the Grand Canyon Invitational in Goodyear, Arizona
• The Knights carded a 331 on the first day of the two day event which put them tied for 13th, but posted a 302 on the second day to move into 10th place
• The 302 tied the Tournament winner CSU-Monterey Bay’s second day score and was 3 stroke behind the 2nd low of 299 by Grand Canyon and Tarleton State
• Sophomore Laura Huertas had the best individual finish for the Knights at tied for 5th with a total score of 149 (75, 74)
• CrystalFaith Superal and Lyra Yoe improved on their first day scores by double digits on the second day. Superal went from an 86 to a 73 and Lyra Yoe went from an 85 to 75
• Grand Canyon’s Ashley Mooney was the individual medalist with a tournament score of 147
• The Knights are next in action April 11th or 12th in the Tarleton State Invitational

Women’s Golf Takes 15th in Lady Otter Invitational

Quick Hits

• The Knights placed 15 in the 22 team field of the Lady Otter Spring Invitational in Seaside, California
• The team shot a combined 654, 58 strokes behind first place Nova Southeastern
• Sophomore Laura Huertas had the top finish for the Knights at tied for 37th. She carded 160 over the two rounds of golf
• Sophomore Lyra Yoe finished just one stroke behind with a 161 after a second day 78, to finish tied for 39th
• Nova Southeastern had the top 2 individual finishers, Abbey Gittings who shot back to back 73s for a tournament score of 146, and Sandra Changkija, whose 74 on the second day put her 1 stroke behind her teammate with a tournament score of 147

Lyra Yoe Leads Women’s Golf to 4th place in Pioneer Shootout

• The Urban Knights finished 4th in the 8 team field of the Pioneer Open in Vallejo with a team score of 639
• Sophomore Lyra Yoe shot a first round low 73 on the first day and a 79 on day to to finish tied for third
• The next best finish was Sophomore Laura Huertas tied for sixth place finish by carding a 154.
• CSU-Monterey Bay’s Darcy Lake placed first individually, carding a 147
• Sonoma State came in first as a team

• St. Edward’s Invitational was held at Grey Rock Golf Club in Austin, Texas
• Knights finished 8th in the 16 team field with a team score of 653
• The Knights shot the fourth lowest second day score with a 308 after posting a 345 on day one
• Crystal Superal led ART U with a score of 154 good for a tied 8 place finish
• Carolina Ivarsson second day score of 78 was 18 strokes better than her first day 97
• University of the Incarnate World’s Joanna De Sa Peirera was the individual leader shooting a 144
• Tarleton State took first as a team with a total score of 613

Women’s Golf Wraps Up Otter Invitational

SEASIDE, CA – The Urban Knights Women’s Gold team wraps up their second to last tournament of the Fall Season on Tuesday morning. The team heads into the final day tied with IUPUI for fourth in the 8 team invitational. The team shot 331 on the day.

Sophomore Lyra Yoe lead the Knights by finishing with a 7 over 80, which tied her for 8th place in the tournament. ART U enters the final round just 14 strokes back of the leader, the host school, Cal State-Monterey Bay.
